Structural Pareidolia: 2013 - 2015

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern where none actually exists… like seeing faces in clouds. Feeling artistically adrift, I spent some time exploring a kind of abstracted surrealism, utilizing organically derived forms in less than strictly representational ways. I may explore this further, in the future; but these are the ones I came up with from 2013-2015.
